Known to his family and friends as Mikael Russell, The DJ
Hurricane began his career at the young age of 14. He started out the
summer of 2004 in his hometown of Charleston, West Virginia.
He began spinning at teen club parties for The Beat 98.7's Leeshia Lee.

In fact his first ever gig had a turn out of a couple hundred party
goers; and he has brought a crowd to every performance and venue
since. Hurricane has performed in many US cities such as Los Angeles,
NYC, Miami, Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Philadelphia, and Charlotte among others.
His biggest influences are DJ Jazzy Jeff and DJ AM. 

He has been given the opportunity to spin at shows with celeberities Young Jeezy, Bubba
Sparxx, Trey Songz , Waka Flocka Flame, 21 Savage, Chanel West Coast, Rich The Kid, Da Baby
and DJ Skribble to name a few. Hurricane has a quickly rising
base of followers
and fans on his social networking pages.
In 2011 The DJ Hurricane relocated
to Morgantown, WV home of Playboy Magazine's
2013 #1 Party School,
WVU. In 2012 he became the official DJ for ARTIST:
"West Virginia's
Own" Ponce De'Leioun (Only unsigned artist to appear on world famous Tim Westwood Show 2X) .
He emcee's their live performances
and serves host to
his mixtapes.  He also hosts his own mixtapes
which introduce new
popular songs along with up and coming artists(which you can check
out on Spinrilla and other mixtape streaming services . 

In 2018 Hurricane created "Issa Vibe LA" a monthly party that takes place in the entertainment capitol Los Angeles, CA, and recieved his first acting role in the independent film " Gifted". The DJ Hurricane brings something to the table that can't be described; giving the crowd his heart and soul at every show with professionalism, high energy, excellent sound, and non stop partying.
